Last week we all went on work experience , again . this time I went to a hotel . In the hotel i was a waitress . All day i was giving people coffe and tea , and serving food - that wasn't bad , i liked that part of work experience .
What I did not like was cleaning . in the hotel i had to scarpe filthy plates into a bin like thing , i also had to put people's USED tissues into another bin ....it was disgusting to say the least .
I also had to go into what was like a shed to get ice ...it was cold but it was grand , i didn't mind doing it .I had to set tables - i liked this i mean i like making things look nice so that was good thing .
I spent a lot of time polishing glasses , knives , spoons - desert and soup spoons and forks . There was a lot of things to polish . I mean it was ok but I was on my own doing it and i like working with people .
Back to the positieves the people were so nice , they have to be the nicest staff ever .
Another positieve was there was a wedding on , i didnt get to see the wedding or the wedding dress - but having to geting ready for the wedding was a great buzz .I would have loven if i fot to help organize the flowers and the colour scheme of the wedding , but i was happy enough just having everything perfect for it .
By the end of work experience i learned the hotel work wouldn't really be my calling , but being a wedding planner could be fun .
If i was offered a summer job in a hotel , i would take it cause overall there was more positieves the negatieves .
